How this tool works

Start and end times round to the nearest audio frame, with half frames rounding up. The start frame is included; the end frame is excluded. The output copies those complete PCM frames unchanged into a fresh WAV header. Extra chunks, tags and cue metadata are removed. Your original file is unchanged.

For a one-second 48 kHz file, 0.25–0.75 seconds keeps frames 12,000–35,999: 24,000 frames, or half a second. Enter decimal seconds without exponent notation, using up to 20 decimal places. Cuts do not add fades, so an abrupt cut away from zero amplitude may click. This deliberately supports a narrow WAV format rather than guessing how to decode every audio file.

File-format references: Microsoft PCM format fields and RIFF chunk layout. Processing is local; output is an audio file, not an upload.
