How this tool works
Left and right extraction preserve that channel’s samples. Swapping exchanges the two channels. Mono mixing uses (left + right) / 2 and rounds each result to the nearest integer, with half values toward positive infinity. Opposite-phase signals can cancel. This is channel routing, not vocal removal or instrument separation.
Duplicate mono copies a mono sample into both output channels. It creates two identical channels, not spatial stereo. Stereo operations require stereo input; duplication requires mono input. The tool does not guess which operation you intended.
Your original files are unchanged. New settings or file order clear the previous download. Stop processing keeps loaded files available; Clear files removes them from this page. Closing the page releases its working references; this is not a forensic memory-erasure guarantee.
Format references: Microsoft PCM format fields and RIFF chunk structure. Broad-format conversion is a separate planned workflow; this tool deliberately accepts the PCM subset stated above.
