How this tool works
Keep up to eight non-overlapping sections in source order. Drag the timeline handles or edit the selected clip’s start/end times. Choose one joined video, or individual clips with a ZIP. The shared 32 MiB output cap applies to the whole batch. Joining re-encodes the selected sections onto a continuous timeline; it does not concatenate file bytes. No transitions or clip reordering are included.
Start and end are measured from the earliest nonnegative audio/video start. The selected range is re-encoded; this is not a lossless packet copy. Trimming decodes preceding media to preserve audio history, so a late cut can take longer. The output preserves the requested frame cadence, with the cut bounded by available video frames and audio samples. WebM may include a small codec end padding; review the displayed/exported duration.
Example: in the two-second sample, keeping 0.5–1.5 seconds produces the green and blue sections. MP4 audio timing is measured during export; if the browser cannot produce a reliable timing correction, the export stops. No audio is intentionally played by the timing check.
One video track and at most one supported mono/stereo audio track up to 96 kHz. Additional known tracks stop video export. Subtitles, chapters, attachments and file-level descriptive tags are not retained; track labels/language may remain. This is not a complete metadata eraser. HDR and transparent-video export are outside scope. An extension alone does not prove codec support.
Up to 4,096 pixels per side and 8,294,400 pixels per frame. Video output is capped at 32 MiB and 18,000 decoded frames; inspection times out after 30 seconds and processing after ten minutes. These limits do not guarantee every device has enough memory. Stop processing keeps your selected file available; Clear file releases its working references. Your original is unchanged.
MP4 uses H.264/AAC and WebM uses VP8/Opus, with a target 4 Mbps video / 128 kbps audio. No remote playlists, DRM bypass, transcription or professional color-fidelity guarantee. Samples are original synthetic Toolfred files and never autoplay. Real-device/browser coverage is still in progress; a local result is not universal compatibility.
