Spelling alphabet encoder

Spell names and codes with the ICAO letter alphabet.

A–Z, 0–9 and whitespace only; 10,000 characters maximum. Digits stay literal. / separates words in the result.

How this tool works

Spelling alphabets give each letter a distinct word: AJ becomes Alfa · Juliett. This helps you read a name or identifier clearly. Digits stay literal and / marks an original word boundary. Example: Fred 2 → Foxtrot · Romeo · Echo · Delta / 2.

Uses the letter names of the ICAO radiotelephony spelling alphabet, including Alfa and Juliett. X uses Xray. This is a written spelling aid, not radio-operator training or an emergency communications service.
