Random team generator

How this tool works

Fisher–Yates shuffles the names using unbiased browser cryptographic random indices. Names are then dealt into the requested number of teams. Every name appears once and team sizes differ by at most one. This balances counts, not ability or preferences.

Blank lines are ignored and outer whitespace is trimmed. Exact duplicates, including duplicate labels, stop the operation; case-sensitive labels such as Alex and alex are distinct. Names stay on this page until you clear it or leave. Downloaded results contain the names, so save and share them deliberately. Uses Web Crypto random values; no list is stored by Toolfred.
